Newell Collins and Dee Matthews are Top Agents for June -- Murphy, NC 28906

Newell Collins and Dee Matthews were the top listing and selling agents for June, 2005, at Western Carolina Real Estate Co., Inc.
Dee Matthews was the top sales agent for the month by closing the most transactions in June. She joined the company full-time in August, 2004.
Newell Collins was the top listing agent. He listed the highest number of new properties in and around the Murphy area. Collins joined the company in May, 2005.

Fame Conley, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, who has lived in Cherokee County for 10 years, has been an associate of the Cherokee Scout for almost seven years.
She started as an inserter, then moved to the darkroom before working in composition.
Fame is now an ad sales representative. "I love helping my customers," she says.
Fame and her husband, Eric, have a 4-year-old-son, Braiden.
In her spare time, Fame is a NASCAR fan and enjoys playtime with her son.
Linda Miller, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, who has lived in Cherokee County with her husband, Bob, since 1994, has been an associate of the Cherokee Scout for five years following a 20-year career in banking.
As a staff writer, she says she particularly enjoys writing Time Travel features.
She is a genealogy and family history enthusiast.
Linda and Bob have a son, Rob; daughter-in-law, Trish; and twin grandchildren in Sunnyvale, California.

Collins grew up in Georgia and has lived in Cherokee County for three years. He has been in real estate the past three years and was in the marine business more than 20 years before entering real estate.
Collins has been married to his wife, Deena, for seven years.
In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, and hunting.

She grew up in west central Florida and has lived in Cherokee County, NC, for two years.
Collins was in corporate sales training and program development for the medical field for the past 15 years and was a commercial nuclear physicist before entering the medical field. She is excited about her future in real estate.
She has been married to her husband, Newell, for seven years. In their spare time, they enjoy fly fishing, hiking, gardening, and spending time with their family.

Terrie Kelly, past president of the Murphy NC Rotary Club, was voted Rotarian of the Year by fellow club members.
